Since Matt and I spent Thanksgiving here in Kentucky (and made a glorious vegan Thanksgiving feast for ourselves, making this butternut squash, brussels sprouts and bread stuffing from Food 52 and Oh She Glows’ lentil walnut loaf and sa-weet potato casserole) we decided to drive on down to one of our favorite cities in the entire universe: Nashville, TN.
We planned on just staying over Friday night, but surprise surprise…we couldn’t bear to leave Saturday and so decided to stay put another night. Our 48 hours in Music City were filled with visits to the Parthenon, the Nashville Farmers Market, Marathon Villiage, 12 Avenue South and Yazoo Brewing, eats at the great Mas Tacos and The Pharmacy, and nights spent singing and dancing (and regretfully, shooting Fireball) at Tootsie’s, Rippy’s and Acme Feed and Grain (a place where, as Matt stated, “is sensory overload” for me). As exhausted and hungover as we were in the car yesterday, all I wanted to do was turn around and go back! Good thing we already have plans to visit again in January. Holler!
Here are some bits and pieces from our weekend:

Thanks Caralyn! It was the best…if you haven’t been to visit Nashville yet, you have to go! Such a fun, fantastic city. :)

I need to be a part of this place and soon! Reminds me so much of the mountains but even better! I love the haulin’ oats :)
